The Sensory Garden Trail

A very recent addition to Barstondale, the sensory garden is a riot of colour and delight.

Designed specifically for the needs of our young disabled visitors, the trail winds from the quiet garden back to the main paths and offers a wealth of experiences along the way. Brightly coloured and friendly characters, wobbly bridges, interactive elements, games, musical instruments, sensory plants, seating places and covered areas mean that the trail is truly accessible to and usable by all. Indeed the trail is wheelchair accessible throughout.

Its difficult to believe just how much we’ve packed into the trail for our visitors to enjoy, so why not take a look at the images below to see everything that the trail has to offer. Its a unique experience that has swiftly proven to be a huge hit!
